As a movie freak, I really loved watching ” Train to Busan”. But I never thought how dreadful it would be to live in that situation. Have you seen the film “Train to Busan”? It’s a film where people turn to zombies due to the spread of the virus. In our case, we don’t turn to zombies yet it’s frightening.
Because Covid-19 is spreading more rapidly than we think. People were going mad without money, food and started to kill people or killing themselves. Every night I was wondering what will happen to my loved ones. How to keep them safe in this crisis? It is scary to touch anything and we are almost living with this virus for 6 months. We even don’t have any idea about when these situations are going to stabilise.
But on the positive side people are learning good lessons from this pandemic and life after this crisis will change for better. There are several possible futures which based upon the government responding to COVID-19 and the economic aftermath. We can utilise this crisis to generate, rebuild something best and much more humanely. Yet we can slide into worse. Economic dynamic weighs in to challenge such as low levels of physical and mental within the worker. Let’s see what happens when all of this dust and done with?
1. Employment After Covid-19
From now on companies will define accountability to:
- Maximise revenues
- Optimize costs
- Offer valid added governance and regulation.
For now, firms may not shoulder their employee burden other than taking care of their means. Companies live in low margins, perpetual losers where funding can be challenging. Jobs that don’t add value to any company will perish. Companies Look at contractual workforce and freelancers to carry more jobs.
So the unemployment rate will increase more. Fresh candidates who accept lengthy periods of training and paid within the period can face problems. Fresh candidates should need to ready fit the job outside the system for contesting in a new job. They also need to expect more competition from lateral and experienced candidates who are looking for jobs even with low salaries.
Even people who have never experienced work from home are habituated to work in their pyjamas. After this ends, employers can feel little tough to go back to their life of catching trains packed with people, featuring to bustling companies, fighting politely at coffee makers.
Employer attitudes will change after COVID-19. I think some employees will have no option will stick with their employer and the employer who treated them well will stay. Then let’s talk about workplace connections. Many people think work is more than making money which offers a sense of purpose and belonging.
It will be tough to develop a good relationship while we are communicating online due to those virtual communications are formal. How good your connection can be. We can’t get an eye to eye connection which we need to improve trust.
2. Social Interaction Covid-19
I don’t know about you but I think we will be scared to touch new people if this social distancing continues for more months. But Dr Leslie Gutmam explained it another way ” we are all social creatures we will grow, thrive and learn as a direct outcome of our interaction with other people”.
We are going to face social interactions to nurture or wellbeing which will not change. We might conduct a few small get together to spend time with people we care about. We can see a turn in social norms where it is acceptable to refuse kiss and shake hands. Some can continue it; some people with strong perception over COVID-19 will avoid huge crowds.
3. Education Sector After Covid-19
After this coronavirus spread flattens this will continue to exist too. Utilising hand sanitizers, mass and handling physical distance will be new normal. To minimize contamination chances, the education sector should need to modernize their teaching methods with the latest and smart technologies and techniques.
Within this lockdown, children are homeschooling by third parents efficiently even small corporate schools are involved to start their class online. Parents like to shield their children until this coronavirus threat passes from us. Virtual classrooms are going to take conventional teaching methods.
4. Developed Healthcare System
Covid-19 fully stressed the requirement of healthcare systems fur which surges in the patient volumes. Steps are on the way to build the adequate capacity of hospitals in order to deal with emergencies better. Even the rise of digital health technology such as contactless thermometers improves patient care. This contagious virus made us learn about cleanliness, washing hands, and using masks to improve our hygiene. Telemedicine usage is maximised for medical assistance convenience. Our priority for our loved one’s health became our major concern which developing the face of healthcare and hygiene can relieve anxieties.
5. Lifestyle After Covid-19
People found to live with bare essentials within this lockdown. Those heavy calories junk food replaced by home-cooked meals. Those closed shooting malls throws a spotlight over the futility of crazy consumerism. As we stayed at our homes all those toxic pollution levels went all down and our nature flourished. People noticed the need for a sustainable lifestyle for the planet’s health.
Much more environment-friendly ways are going to operate such as work from home to save online paperless transactions and fuel. People will look at a simple but rewarding lifestyle, increasing savings, minimising consumption for income uncertainties of the future. Saving earth and the next generation will steer many life choices.
6. Travelling After Covid-19
The government suggested against all yet effective travel when lockdown started. People who arrive in other countries should need to self-quarantine as per country rules. Many people can pick flexible flight bookings after knowing from the crisis, many hotel companies and airlines introduced flexible options. Many countries looking into that bubbles and corridors means only travel within picked countries. Countries like Australia, New Zealand are investigating these options. Travel bubbles will paint an image of which international travel first phase looks like.
7. People Will Move Out From Cities
For many years, people can move to the downtown area of leading cities. Here the appeal can be obvious. Downtowns are revitalized there are many things to do where importantly, jobs are even located there. This will raise rent problems. If people are only needed to come to the officers, there is less incentive to live downtown. A huge amount of money can be blown over the huge rent which can deliver as a down payment on a house in the subway.
8. Economy After Covid-19
All countries will face a serious economic problem no doubt. The company exists to make profits. If they can’t generate they can’t sell products so they can’t make profits so they have less power to employ you. Companies will hold their employees who they don’t need, they can meet demand when it’s back to normal. More people lose jobs so they will buy less.
Normally the government spends and spends until people works again. We don’t want the economy to recover where it needs people to work outside which can spread the virus more. We need an anti-wartime economy and huge scaling back of generation. We need a system that is able to scale back generation which isn’t stated to be a loss of livelihood.
We should think about the economy as the process of buying and selling customer goods. At the time, the economy means to take resources and change them to things we require to live. We should have chances that access us to generate less stuff without maximizing misery. Governments fear that systems which will be overloaded and disrupted are Social care, supply chain healthcare. Anyway, experts say that the economic crisis can’t go back to normal quickly the way it was before COVID-19.
9. Digital Transformation
Companies’ digital information will be faster than you think with more artificial intelligence and automation to approve profile customers, approve loans, improve delivery and control shock.
10. Sporting Or Concert Events
Crowded concerts and sports events will not be part of our life. It can be hard for people to go to huge gatherings for entertainment purposes. People mostly will have a small gathering. Safe welcoming people in an enclosed space should be given a thought to think. Even venues will charge twice.
What Can We Learn From This Crisis?
We can learn that we may made a huge mistake. Which is to underestimate coronavirus at the very beginning. Because our generation hadn’t experienced a pandemic like this. Which is why we are shocked to see the around spread of this virus that results in the introduction of many government restrictions.
Significant measures are taken to slow the spread of this virus. In the future, we can be more cautious about newly found virus along with their details. We known that we need to be grateful for every little thing in our life and should be attentive to little things. We have seen huge solidarity within society. People cheering medical staff, sewing masks, helping seniors in online shopping. People become more solidarity and considerate to each other.
So, it seems like we are going to live with this pandemic for a little longer. Hope for better days. How COVID-19 changed your life? Comment below.
