1. Write About Your Eating
Many studies have shown that the effectiveness of food journaling and many people admitted that they lost weight while writing food journaling. You don’t lose weight by writing something. You lose weight by writing what you really consumed on that day. You need to stay true and honest about it. Eating habits linked to our emotions either we know it or not. When I’m super stressed or feeling sad I always love to have something sweet. I think most people feel the same. So by maintaining a journal, you can know what are you eating in a day, why are you eating it. So next time you can control yourself.
2. Get Sleep
Lack of sleep maximise hunger hormone and minimised satisfied hormone which fully contributes to weight gain. If you are sleep deprived you crave for sweets and salty foods. Because if you feel intensive hunger your craving look at foods with high calories. So if you get enough sleep you will eat when you are truly hungry and eat until you are enough. Hormones going to well-balanced cause you go time for refreshing, repair and sleep.
3. Stay Hydrated
Many researchers found that having two glasses of water before a meal which mean people who drank half a litre of water before a meal resulted in losing weight than the people who didn’t drink before meals. This tip works in two ways. Thirst mask itself like hunger which makes you eat more. Water will make you feel more so you will eat less.
4. Embrace Veggies
People always say they don’t have good food to eat to diet when they have tons of veggies in their houses. Vegetables are very known calorie, filled with nutrition values, high fibre. If you like to have snacks in midnight or afternoon eat green beans, carrots and broccoli, lemon zest. You can skip oil and butter, and add garlic, or herbs to get a good taste. You can feel less deprived and can eat your satisfying foods.
5. Do What You Can
Don’t think like you should overhaul the entire life beginning immediately. Start from wherever you are and think where you like to be in future. A good beginning point for many people is to get a step counter and to find how much can you walk for a flat. Then set a goal due to higher steps than normally and work up your way up to reach your goal daily where you can inspire yourself. Then you can pick up jogging or exercising whatever you like to do.
6. Never Skip Breakfast
Never ever skip your breakfast. For combating the urge to overindulge over things you need to eat fibre and protein-filled breakfast in the morning. Your morning breakfast could be filled with protein foods such as yoghurt, eggs, nuts, least vegetables, fruits. You can also add high fibre foods such as fruits or cereal.
7. Eat Your Favourite Foods
Don’t get too shocked? You don’t need to cut your favourite foods fully and suddenly you need to be a slim shopper. You could buy a single cookie than buying a whole packet of cookies or a little portion of candy. Recently I watched a video of Virat Kohli where he is eating just ” 100 gms” of mushroom biryani. Why can’t he eat the whole bowl? He can. But he is eating his favourite food by keeping the calorie in the mind.
8. Weigh Yourself Every Week
People who are weighing themselves known to lose weight. So you can see how your diet plan is working. But it needs to be strategic.
- Weigh yourself at the similar day of the week, time of day over similar scale and clothes.
Weight loss is not an easy task. Nothing comes easy which comes easy don’t stay too long. So, be patient to see amazing results.
